So sweet!

Benjamin said to Paul this morning, "I love you so much, Paul! I wish we could always go everywhere together!" Paul whole-heartedly agreed!

The snow is almost melted in our yard. Time to get out the golf clubs! The boys were outside twice yesterday playing golf. They were disappointed to wake up this morning and find another coating of snow on the grass! It should melt quickly, though.

We had professional photos taken of both sides of the extended family in December. We finally found the right size frames, and got them hung this week.

Birthday party

We had a birthday party for Benjamin at a local indoor pool, where he takes his swimming lessons. We invited 15 kids, most of them from church, and all of them were able to attend. They swam for about an hour, then we had cake, snacks, played a beach bingo game, did a craft, and opened presents.

Cupcakes--I made a beach scene with crushed graham crackers for sand, a fruit roll-up for a towel, a teddy graham lying on that, and goldfish swimming in the water.

Birthday Boy

Benjamin turned six yesterday. He was bummed to discover he had to go to school on his birthday. But, he did get a birthday crown, at least! They don't do treats at his school, and I didn't think his classmates needed another pencil (the "treat" option that is allowed), since they got at least 10 pencils in their Valentine bags. Benjamin woke up to a pile of presents in the living room, and opened them immediately. He got a donut with candles in it for breakfast. We sang then, because Jonathan was gone most of the rest of the day. We had soup supper before church, and we sang there as well. Benjamin wanted me to make cauliflower soup--his favorite--for the supper. I thought alphabet soup (pasta and veggies) might be better received. I also made a dirt dessert.
