Just a few shots

It's hard to believe our little boy is almost two! He's wanting to become more and more independent. "Do it self!" is often heard throughout our day. We'll probably be putting the high chair away soon, because he prefers to sit in a "big boy" chair.
It has been so much fun as Benjamin has started talking more and more. He's talking in complete sentences now, so that makes him seem so much older. He can "count" to thirteen, and knows many of his colors and shapes. (Just had to do a little bragging. I don't like to be one of those parents who thinks her child is a genius, but I've been impressed!) Benjamin still loves to listen to stories, whether they come from a book or are just made up. He's especially fond of hearing the stories about when his aunts and uncles have broken various limbs. He even hurt himself the other day, and said he needed to go to the hospital!
Balls, trucks, and playing outside continue to be his other favorites. We've had quite a bit of snow lately, so we've gotten in some sledding and shoveling. And watching Daddy use the snowblower is always a hit! Although, he does get a little nervous when it first starts up. Benjamin also loves going "bye-bye." He gets a little stir-crazy on those rare days we stay home all day.
Oh, yes, Benjamin still loves "helping" Mom and Dad with whatever their doing, be it laundry, baking, cleaning, or using the computer! Whenever I'm cooking, Benjamin pulls over the kitchen chair so that he can stand on it and help me.
Just thought you'd enjoy an update and a few pictures. Coming soon: pictures from warm, sunny Florida!

More fun in Michigan

After the wedding, we spent some time at Great-Grandma's house with the family.

Grandpa cut off the handle of an old broom so that I could have a broom just my size!

Riding on the tractor was definitely one of the highlights! I'm still talking about it.

Cousin Angela's Wedding

We flew to Michigan after Christmas, so we could see my cousin, Angela, get married to Brian. We had a great time seeing family. Benjamin did not make it through the wedding. He had to be taken out twice, once while saying, "Poopy!" And he usually does so well in church! However, he did have a blast at the reception. He LOVED the dancing! We had his shirt off, and he was having so much fun!

Golfing with Grandpa

One of my favorite Christmas presents.
