New York Yankees

Jonathan came up with this "tee" for Benjamin--an upside-down tennis ball can--about the right height.

We drove to New Jersey Sunday after church, and stayed at Aunt Mary and Uncle Ken's until Tuesday. Aunt Mary found a Yankees hat and T-shirt for Benjamin, much to the chagrin of his father and the delight of his uncle! Now Benjamin wants to wear his baseball "uniform" all of the time. He is still evenly divided between teams. We hear, "Go Cardinals! Go Yankees! Go Red Sox!" usually all in the same breath.

Trucks

Last Saturday, there was something called "Touch a Truck" in town. You could go and climb into all sorts of city-owned vehicles, like an ambulance, a police car, a tractor, several lawn mowers, etc. Benjamin had a pretty good time, until kids started honking horns. After that, he wanted to be done.

In a fire truck

There was also an elementary school fair going 0n, and this was Benjamin's favorite booth. Actually, this was a bigger hit than the trucks!

Playing soccer

Here's a little video clip, since I haven't put one on in awhile. It's hard to get a video or picture now, because Benjamin always wants to look at himself right away.

Independence

Benjamin always has to wear this engineer cap whenever we play baseball. Jonathan tries to convince him to wear a baseball cap, but he can't put it on himself. So, he resorts to this hat.

Benjamin has entered the stage where he has to pick out his own clothes. I think his favorite color is red. He especially likes red socks, probably because of a certain baseball team nearby. We pulled up his socks like a soccer player, like Uncle Jonny and Uncle David and Daddy, and he thought it was pretty cool.

Planting flowers

Benjamin helping to arrange the flowers. This was taken right before he threw the flowers to the ground--oops!

Banished to the other side of the tree, after trying to dig up the flowers Daddy just planted.

We had a few lessons to learn about the delicacy of flowers, and how to plant them! But, boy, what an eager helper! It was also fun picking out the flowers--the plant farm had llamas, chickens, roosters, emus, fountains, and so much space to run around! Benjamin experienced what "cock-a-doodle-doo" sounds like in real life!

Belly Shot

Here's a belly shot of me, for any of those who are interested. I'm 26 weeks along now, and looking very pregnant. I'm getting comments from strangers--I forgot about that, how random people in the grocery store, or wherever, comment on your pregnancy. I've been feeling pretty good, despite my blood pressure still being a little high, and having to go in for the 3-hour glucose test, since my 1-hour test number was slightly high. The 3-hour test came back normal, though, so I'm thankful for that.
