Swimming with the cousins

Illinois and St. Louis

We recently made a quick trip to Illinois, where my brother was installed as pastor of a new church.  Since we were so close to St. Louis (2 hours away), we decided to see David and take in a Cardinals game.

Before going home the next day, we went to the Magic House, along with a lot of other people, since it was almost 100 degrees that day!

Sometimes I wonder what I did in the summer without a garden...

We don't have blueberries in our yard, but we did pick these.  You can also see the squash and zucchini from the garden.

The beans and cucumbers are about done, but we got a LOT of both!  We've also been picking a reasonable amount of beets and peppers.  The tomatoes are just starting.  Soon I'll be making sauce, and Jonathan will be making his salsa!  We are also about to be picking a lot of cantaloupe.

More summer fun

We had a bounce house for the last day of VBS.  The next day, before it was taken down, the boys got to bounce in it by themselves.
