First Cardinal's game

Jonathan and Benjamin went to a Cardinals-Mets game a few weeks ago with a group from church. Unfortunately, they saw a terrible game--Cardinals lost 0-9. But, Jonathan had fun bringing Benjamin to his first baseball game.

Eating cotton candy--another first. He liked it after he got over the texture. Pink sugar that melts in your mouth--what two-year-old wouldn't like that?!

Go Cardinals! Daddy wasn't brave enough to face the game without blankie, since it was right at nap time. It is a Cardinals blanket, though!

New Bedroom

We moved Benjamin into his "big boy" bedroom several weeks ago. He's been doing great sleeping in his twin bed. He's only fallen out once, and he's never asked about going back to the crib. He even stays in his bed in the morning until we come and get him---unless the door is open. Today I asked him where he thought the baby should sleep. When I suggested the crib, he thought that sounded like a good idea. So, the transition seems to have gone smoothly. We went with a truck theme for his new bedroom, and he's been so excited over each new addition.
Here he is, pretending to sleep. He's lying on one of the truck pillows I made. He now insists on sleeping on this instead of a regular pillow. Oh, well!

Just woke up from nap--not so sure I want my picture taken right now!

We found a great deal on this bedroom set at a garage sale. It also came with another matching twin bed, dresser, and two night stands. So, we're already set for when this new baby outgrows the crib!

Loving the new rug!

So proud of his new room!

My little creation for truck curtains. I took the existing curtains we had in this room, and cut them into valances to let more light in. Then I velcroed the trucks and cars onto the curtains.

Twins?

Here's a shot of my belly, as requested. Someone at a wedding last week asked me if I was having twins, after they found out I was still a month away from my due date. Can you believe a stranger would have the audacity to say something like that? I am feeling large and uncomfortable. I have to see my doctor and have non-stress tests done weekly now. So, far everything has looked good with the baby. My blood pressure remains high at the doctor's office, but normal at the hospital when I go for my non-stress tests. Go figure! My doctor says I'll likely go early--be induced before my due date--so that my blood pressure doesn't climb too high. I'm ready to be done with the pregnancy, but not sure we're ready for another newborn. Ready or not, though! =)
