Busy Boy!

This past Sunday and Monday we traveled to New Jersey to see Aunt Mary, Uncle Ken, and Great-Grandma. We had a good time hanging out with them. They got a lot of smiles out of me, and couldn't believe how big I'd gotten! I turned 4 months old this week. That meant more shots, which didn't go over so well this time. I felt not so good for a few days afterward. I now weigh 15 lbs, 13 oz, and I'm 26 1/4 in. long. That puts me in the 60th percentile for weight, and the 95th percentile for height, for all of those of you out there who are interested. Mom and Dad think my hair is starting to turn blonde, but they still don't know what to make of my eye color. Will they stay blue or are they turning brown? Hmmm?? Maybe I'll take after my Aunt Rachel, with brown eyes and blonde hair.

I love this precious moments angel. It prays "Now I lay me down to sleep" in the sweetest voice, and I just smile away at it every time!

Yes, Dad? What did you want?

What a big boy!

I still love my swing!

Umm...I had a question. Where are we off to now?

Fun pictures

Whoa! A little too close there! Back it up a bit!

Mom! Why are you making me wear this? I'm so embarrassed! Can't you take this awful thing off of me?

A Rough Week

We had a rough week last week. As you can see, Daddy is a bit under the weather. He had hernia surgery last Monday. (He gave himself the hernia after lifting a lawnmower.) The next day, he started running a fever, and it didn't completely go away until Saturday, after a visit to the surgeon to get some antibiotics. The surgeon isn't sure what was causing the fever, but the antibiotics seemed to have down their job. He's been easing his way back to work this week. Of course, Daddy still won't be able to lift me for 5 more weeks! =(

Gee whiz! Will Dad ever wake up and play with me?

Getting stronger every day! While on my back today, I scooted halfway across the living room. Granted, the living room isn't too big, but Mom noticed me just in time, so I didn't bump my head on the furniture!

Much to Mom's delight, I stated giggling a few days ago! She thinks it's just the sweetest sound ever! To really get me going, I just need to be stripped down to my diaper.

Don't even think about taking this bottle away from me!

My first plane ride

After many attempts, I'm finally able to post some more pictures. Something has been wrong with the website for several days!

Mom and I flew to southern IL for my cousin Jacob's graduation over Memorial Day weekend. I did great on the plane rides--I slept most of the way, so Mom was grateful for that! Plus, I slept 9 hours most of the nights we were there--the longest I've ever slept. Maybe it was all that humidity that made me drowsy--or it could have been all of those people who wanted to hold me and talk to me!

Here I am with my great aunt Marilyn.

Here I am with my aunt Sarah, Uncle Jonathan's fiancee.

Okay, Aunt Rachel, enough with the singing already! She was singing "Play that funky music, white boy!"

Here's a four generation shot with my mom, grandpa, and great-grandma. I was squirming for my great-grandma. I don't know why I had to hold still so much!
