Helping bathe Paul. Benjamin always wants to help me give Paul a bath--probably because it involves water and standing on a chair. This was the first time he actually helped bathe Paul. Usually, he just washes the counter or the bathtub; this time he washed Paul! It was so sweet! Especially when he dripped water all over Paul's face, and he didn't even care. =)

One month old

Hard to believe--Paul turned one month old on Monday! He had his 4-week check-up, and is doing well. He now weighs 10 lbs, 5 oz, and is 22 inches long. That means he's been gaining about a pound a week. We knew he was growing, because his 0-3 month clothes are already getting tight on him!

Benjamin has started to show more interest in Paul, now that it's just the three of us for most of the day. Paul had a pretty fussy day today. At one point, he wasn't crying, but was sleeping in the swing, Benjamin said, "Look! Paul's happy now."

Playing with trucks. I'm so thankful Benjamin has found something that holds his interest by himself for so long. That car rug for his room was money well-spent!

"I'm Daddy! I have to go to work now." (Note the cell phone and Bible.) Benjamin loves pretending he's someone else. It's hard to keep track of who he is throughout the day--it changes constantly!

Grandma leaves

Grandma went back to Florida on Tuesday, so we've been on our own for the last few days. It was so nice to have her here to help out! We're definitely more tired without her! Paul decides he wants to be awake and/or eating when Benjamin naps, so no naps for Mom! I also forgot how you can never complete anything with a newborn. You start to unload the dishwasher, and he starts crying. You try to cook supper, and it's time for him to eat. So frustrating! Oh, well, we're all doing good, and I know that this stage passes quickly.

It's hard to believe, but Paul is already two weeks old! And to think--he wasn't even officially due until tomorrow, the 5th! Things are going well, now that he's gaining weight. We had to go to several weigh-ins, since he wasn't gaining weight as fast as the doctor wanted him to. He's back up to his birth weight now, though. Benjamin still mainly ignores his little brother, and hasn't wanted to hold him yet. He will kiss him on the forehead good night. Jonathan's mom has been here to help out, and my parents are here visiting this weekend. We also had a quick visit from Aunt Mary, Uncle Ken, and Great-Grandma. So, that has definitely kept Benjmain busy.
