Keeping busy

We thought things would slow down a little after Christmas, but we still seem to be on the go! We just got back from a PALS retreat (a program for recent sem grads) in upstate NY. We had fun in the snow there, even if we were the only family there. There were five others guys in attendance, but no other wives or kids. It seemed to be perfect timing, since our well chose to give us problems the day before we left. We woke up to no water on Sunday morning. It was fixed while we were gone, and thankfully we have water again! Here's some recent photos.

This is one of Benjamin's favorite things to do now--walk behind his hungry hippo. Just look at that determination! He'll stand alone briefly, but so far nothing that's looked like a step on his own. He's cruising the furniture, though, and he has an unbelievable reach! Everyday we have to move something new that used to be out of his reach.

On warmer, sunny days we open the front door, and Benjamin loves to stand and watch the cars go by. "When will Daddy be home?"

Benjamin is eating mostly table food now. He's become very independent with eating, and would rather we not feed him with a spoon--we still sneak it in between his own bites.

Of course, this results in a mess at every meal! Time for a bath--one of his other favorite activities!
